Increasing mobility, agility, and lethality

The military’s need for helicopters continues to grow and spread throughout the different branches of the armed forces due to their versatility within theater. Helicopter missions in Iraq and Afghanistan continue to demonstrate the value of rotorcraft as it pertains to troop and equipment transport, combat search and rescue, and troop support.

IDGA’s 7th Annual Helicon will provide critical insight into the latest needs and requirements for improvements in rotorcraft sustainability and mission effectiveness.

Due to the economy there has been a recent emphasis on program cost; as a result, several programs are being re-evaluated. Through a combination of technical examination sessions and key case studies, we will identify performance of current helicopter programs, potential growth areas, and the long term focus of military needs and applications for all rotorcraft.
